Mountain Pinguicula @ Triad House Plant Market Colfax

April 18 @ 9:00 amApril 19 @ 3:00 pm
Mountain Pinguicula is making a solo trip to the piedmont area of North Carolina to the Triad House Plant Market in Colfax.
Part of Roots & Rarities, this time will be making an outing that focuses on our pinguicula and related workshops
Pinguicula are a colourful, sticky, bug-loving rosetted-leaf carnivorous plant.
Also known as butterwort, and fly-paper plant, these greasy-leaved plants will catch insects with their sticky goo, which digests the yummiest parts of the bug.
Their favourite prey is the fungus gnat, which many plant owners have dealt with, and it will also catch the occasional stay mosquito, fruit fly and other small insects.
These can be a great addition to a fungus gnat control system, but many people grow them for the amazing colours, which get more intense under strong lights.
Additionally, once these start blooming, they don’t stop (until the plant starts going into winter mode)
We will be running workshops all day Saturday & Sunday (stay tuned for ticket links – walk-ups may be possible depending on availability)
Colfax is located centrally in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro/High Point Triad and is 1.5 hours out from Charlotte
This market runs from Friday to Sunday – we will be there Saturday and Sunday only.
Market times:
Saturday: 9-5
Sunday: 10-3
